As I’ve grown up in this time of instant gratification and social media, I have come to understand that relationships have shifted to follow a trend set by technology and business. This transition resulted in the abandonment of gradual, intentional, and authentic connection to fast, haphazard, and motive-oriented connection. This collection of posters, entitled "Authentic Communication", speaks to a need to dispel the "fast friend" mentality resulting from instant gratification as well as the rise of fast fashion, fast food, etc. Rather than encouraging superficial connection with a single click or digital interaction, this collection focuses on investing continual time and effort in cultivating quality relationships. Through this poster series, I ultimately desired to revive the concept of the intentional cultivation of long-lasting, genuine relationships in a world showcasing light-work relationships founded on transactions.
