Bump That Beat
Memorial Health Integrated Healthcare Campaign
Solo Student Project
The digital portion of this integrated healthcare campaign, like the more traditional portion, prioritizes showing the revival that can result from taking the appropriate holistic care principles and applying them to everyday life. To include a more community-centered perspective in the campaign, all of the digital media will revolve around gamification, interactivity, etc. as a means of encouraging connectivity during one’s wellness journey and beyond. Although the digital overlay will encourage community, it allows for the implementation of individualization via choices of music selection, characters, etc. My chosen means for showcasing this campaign in the digital realm include a mobile app, digital game, banner ads, instagram stories, and other forms of interactive experience. Generative AI, in combination with other technical programs, served as a tool to bring specific models and interactive experiences to life digitally.
“Mini Me” Challenge
Based in social media, this trend plays on the idea of finding someone with the same heartbeat as you. This desire, combined with an interest in avatars, led me to create the Mini Me challenge. In this challenge, the social media user can customize a mini me to dance with that has "Bump That Beat" inspired apparel.
“Heart Reflection”
An interactive experience set in the tunnel leading from the main wing of the hospital to the cardiovascular institute section, this interactive set up allows you to see yourself in the EKG pattern as you walk by the setup. The EKG is continually moving and shape shifts to the outlines of those passing by instantaneously. This is made possible as a result of a sensor integrated into the floor of the hospital.
“The Beatbox”
Integrated into in and out patient care, “The Beatbox” is a community-based app intent on allowing patients to find others with their same heartbeat. This interface serves as an encouragement, entertainment, and holistic health tool by housing the following features:
Real Time Heart Monitor - synced to hospital-provided wristbands/accessories
Mood Music Recommendations - based on routine hospital surveys relating to mood, activities, and desires
Group Messaging & Private Messaging Interface - reserved for patients of the heart institute as well as overcomers of the ailments that caused their stays or frequent visits
Tips & Triumphs - a continually updated video archive that includes tips from medical professionals at Memorial Health and partnered institutions
Bump This or That - an interactive game that provides two songs daily for the user to select from, the winning song travels to the next day to be compared to a new one, users will be able to view the choices of their friend and conduct conversations via the messaging interface, the winning song from each week will be featured in an ongoing hospital playlist for the patients
